Christian Echavarria is Chairman at Miller Industrial Technologies, a family owned holding company. In addition, Mr. Echavarria is the principle shareholder and Chairman of Syntheon, a specialty chemical company. For over 25 years, Mr. Echavarria has been involved as an advisor to CEOs of significant companies on matters related to growth strategy, corporate development, corporate finance and business governance; as an owner, executive and board member of a nationally recognized financial services company managing $6 billion in assets; and as an entrepreneur in high-tech.
Mr. Echavarria has cross industry experience with companies looking to identify extraordinary opportunities, manage and sustain growth, and maximize revenue. He has expertise, as an advisor, and as an owner, with companies that leverage unique market opportunities based on in-depth insights of customer and industry trends, and which effectively execute a cohesive strategy, business model, capital structure, service and delivery infrastructure, and product line and human resource capabilities to capture the market opportunity.
During his career, Mr. Echavarria has served as a senior consultant with McKinsey & Company where he led its national energy practice and the research to develop an integrated fuel/generation/transmission market pricing model to assess the strategic, competitive position and corporate development implications for electric utilities as the industry transitioned from a regulated industry to a competitive industry. He also has experiences as an advisor on matters ranging from mergers and consolidation of large global energy companies, and growth strategies for large financial institutions to purchasing effectiveness and supply chain optimization for large health care systems. He developed for Louis Dreyfus Energy, a major energy merchant in North America, the strategic and a tactical energy trading model to identify the most attractive generation and energy positions in a deregulating electric industry.
He co-founded Invesmart and led the transformation of the retirement financial services industry from a predominantly product-push model to an employee service-centric model. Invesmart grew to manage $6 billion in assets and led the retirement industry in assets and results providing individualized financial planning for employees inside retirement plans.
Mr. Echavarria holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. Mr. Echavarria resides in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
